Remington College is seeking an exceptional Baking and Pastry Program Chair

We’re seeking a Baking and Pastry Chef to join our academic team on a full-time basis.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
As a full-time Program Chair, you will :
o Creating, testing and refining recipes for cakes, cookies, pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
o Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure they are presentation ready.
o Ensuring all baking operations comply with food Hygiene and safety standards.
o Working with students in a kitchen team environment to plan and develop recipes and menus.
o Ordering and stocking ingredients and supplies for baking.
o Reaching students the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specification are met.
o Monitoring students baking process, managing oven temperatures and adjusting as necessary.
o Instructing students on the standards of federal regulated kitchen cleanliness and food safety to include any other laws / regulations needed to help student implement their career in this field.
