ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join our growing team. This will be a remote position, but the person will ideally be located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Public Relations Specialist supports public relations activities for LPC’s financial services clients. Day-to-day job responsibilities include writing, editing, producing content, disseminating and supporting social media efforts, and fostering media relationships. This person assists in implementing the strategic plan, including (but not limited to) outreach for editorial content, establishing relationships with editors and reporters, and conducting research.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, bylined articles, and other materials via MuckRack, HubSpot, and social media channels
- Develop and maintain media lists, build relationships with key journalists, and identify earned media opportunities
- Collaborate with Marketing Account Managers and clients to build and manage annual editorial calendars
- Partner with the creative team to produce supporting visuals, videos, and other multimedia assets
- Research and track speaking opportunities, conference panels, and awards
- Track and report key PR metrics to demonstrate and improve campaign effectiveness
- Ensure brand consistency across all client communications
- Support tracking of PR and community outreach budgets
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Public Relations2–3 years of experience in marketing or PR (agency experience preferred)Financial services and / or B2B industry experience strongly preferredStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skillsProficiency with MuckRack, HubSpot, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWHAT WE OFFER
