Travel RN Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 Unit : K9-B Observation / Cardiac Stepdown Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Unit Beds : 20-bed cardiac stepdown unit Patient Ratio : Night Shift 1 : 6 (stretch 1 : 7) EMR : Cerner / Power Chart Dress Code : Navy or white uniform options Estimated Weekly Salary : $1650 - $1770 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state BLS certification (Basic Life Support) Telemetry certification Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or telemetry nursing jobs Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment Med-Surg certification preferred Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a 20-bed cardiac stepdown / observation unit Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond to cardiac events Perform nursing procedures : telemetry monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, IV starts Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes Float to other medical-surgical units as needed Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner / Power Chart EMR Adhere to hospital policies, attendance, and dress code guidelines Apply now to join our healthcare team in Asheville, NC and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
