Senior Compliance Associate, Policies & Procedures

The Senior Compliance Associate, Policies and Procedures will work closely with business counterparts to develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures for Lord Abbett. The successful candidate will have a clear, concise writing style, plus excellent research, interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates may be asked to provide a writing sample.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and enhance policies and procedures in accordance with the Investment Company Act, the Investment Advisers Act and other applicable regulations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders across the firm in connection with the development and / or maintenance of compliance policies.
  • Track, monitor and analyze regulatory changes and updates related to the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Coordinate and prepare the Global Chief Compliance Officers reports for Boards, management and regulatory authorities, as required.
  • Develop and coordinate the distribution of compliance communications.
  • Work on ad hoc projects and other initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a compliance role in the asset management industry, with a focus on the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Proven experience developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
