Overview

Note for NJ candidates : This role will be located at our future headquarters in Short Hills, N.J. Until the new headquarters is operational, the successful candidate will be offered the ability to work in our Branchville, N.J. location during this interim period.

Selective is dedicated to driving innovation and excellence across all our operations. Our Enterprise IT Center of Excellence (CoE) teams are hubs for best practices, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical CoE Lead to join our team and help us achieve our goals .

As part of our growing CoE services, the Team Lead will be responsible for leading projects, driving strategic initiatives, and building / maturing CoE services in areas such as Azure Cloud, DevOps, SharePoint, Power Platform, and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Relationship Management : Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project sponsors, key systems users, end-users, and other IT functions.
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership and create documentation for projects and CoE needs, including design, asset inventory, diagrams, presentations, and documentation of the environment and deployment for support and future implementations.
• Design and Development : Supervise and guide the design and development activities for entire applications. Design, develop, program, and implement systems to specifications, and develop / coordinate execution plans.
• Project Formalization : Formalize project and CoE activities and guide projects / initiatives to completion. Prepare regular status reports.
• Collaboration : Work closely with Solutions and Enterprise Architects to create and review implementation designs.
• Strategic Support : Support the formulation of the platform-specific CoE vision, strategy, and value proposition, and drive the execution of CoE services.
• Opportunity Maximization : Partner with functional areas and other CoE teams to identify and maximize deployment opportunities.
• Training and Development : Deliver and drive lunch-and-learn sessions and produce training materials for organizational consumption.
• Team Supervision : Supervise developers, assign project staff, estimate resource needs, plan team member work assignments and schedules, and guide and monitor work productivity. Facilitate proactive issue and risk identification and resolution.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

Pay Range

USD $119,000.00 - USD $163,000.00 / Yr.
