Position : Entry-Level Materials Engineer

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of entry-level Materials Engineers located in :

Materials Engineers may work at any of Chevron's worldwide operations or with Chevron's Technology, Projects and Execution team. Mobility is encouraged, with opportunities for assignments at various domestic and international locations. Our Horizons training program offers technical training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience, typically involving two to three assignments in the first five years. This program aims to develop broad and deep technical expertise in areas such as metallurgy, welding, corrosion control, and non-metallic materials. Responsibilities include supporting refineries, oil fields, pipelines, chemical plants, designing new facilities, material selection, corrosion problem resolution, failure analysis, research, and non-destructive examination support. You will collaborate with teams to optimize materials technology use.

Required Qualifications :

  • Students in their final year of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering, or those with such degrees and up to two years of related work experience.
  • Strong academic record, communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relocation Options : Relocation may be considered within Chevron's parameters.
