Inventory Control Analyst : Rockford, IL

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to join our client’s team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across systems and locations, ensuring efficient operations and optimal inventory performance. The role collaborates closely with purchasing, production, and finance teams to drive improvement and support overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and analyze inventory transactions and movement to ensure system accuracy and compliance with scrapping and write-off procedures
• Lead regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies (including negative inventory issues), and communicate findings through weekly and monthly reports
• Conduct audits of inventory records, reconcile counts, and implement corrective actions
• Develop and continuously improve inventory control procedures and best practices
• Identify root causes of inventory variances and recommend process improvements
• Perform annual ABC analysis to set cycle count frequencies and adjust safety stock levels
• Support Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning initiatives by maintaining visibility on key items
• Work collaboratively to identify and reduce obsolete or excess inventory
• Lead the annual physical inventory process and serve as back-up to the Inventory Control Clerk as needed

Pay : $62,000 - $80,000 / year

Type : Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule : Monday – Friday 6 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m.
