Summary
Under the supervision of the Lead, NOA Operations, the NOA Outpatient Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to accurately prepare and process the Notice of Action letters for MPM’s assigned managed care members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and review the intake of letter templates
- Accurately enter letter template data into the internal systems or applications
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the information received
- Assist with administrative tasks related to intake processes.
- Review and process daily letter assignment requests (i.e., Carve Outs, HP Linked Services)
- Comply with MPM / UM policies and procedures and regulatory standards (i.e., CMS, NCQA) to maintain a Notice of Action letter compliant with :
a. Letter template accuracy
b. Language accuracy
c. Provider and member notification timeliness
Provide coverage for sub-teams (i.e., NOA packets)Perform other duties as assignedAttend NOA meetingsMinimum Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED1+ year of experience in the healthcare industry / utilization managementCompletion of a medical terminology courseProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)This position will require weekend and holiday coverage as neededSkill and Abilities
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitaskExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to handle sensitive matters with professional discretionFamiliarity with HIPAA or other regulatory requirements (for healthcare roles).Positive attitude and flexibility, a must
