GI Tech - Highland Park

Hourly Pay Range : $20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. $5K Sign-On Bonus with 1 year of experience as a GI Tech, requires a 1 year commitment Position Highlights :

• Endoscopy Technician - GI Lab Technician
• Day shift, M-F, 7 am - 4 pm
• Occasional Saturdays
• Must be able to work the full 8-hour day
• Requires on-call responsibility (includes nights / weekend hours) What you will need :
• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required, basic computer experience, able to take vitals and perform CPR
• CPR (BLS, Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to start date required What you will do : The GI Technician serves as an assistant in the Outpatient GI Lab, working with patients, preparing instruments and equipment and assisting in the procedure room. Additional duties include :
• Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN
• Maintain the procedure room set up, equipment care and maintenance
• Assist with specimen collection & disinfection of instruments
• Assist physicians during procedures
