Description : Job Summary
The Packaging Line Manager's job is to lead and manage packaging lines teams, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations across all packaging lines. The Packaging Line Manager is accountable for team leadership, operational performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The manager ensures that product is packaged according to defined quality and capacity standards, while managing resources and collaborating across departments.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Plan, direct, and oversee daily packaging operations, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
Ensure adherence to and attainment of the production plan.
Monitor and report production order variances and analyze deviations.
Create and execute long-term departmental strategies aligned with business objectives.
Drive performance management initiatives and continuous improvement through ASAHI Way processes.
Track and improve line performance (ME / FE) and analyze long-term trends.
Represent the department in SIM3 / SIM4 meetings and sponsor SIM1 / 2 daily meetings.
Analyze data trends, create reports, and support business decisions.
Challenge weekly planning to optimize packaging schedules and manage interface with planning and logistics.
Oversee project and investment management initiatives, including feasibility studies and trials.
Establish company culture, discipline and motivation.
Safety, Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Set up quality regulatory systems within the department in accordance with HACCP, MiBi, AGPRM, PPQA, and other standards.
Handle findings from audits and BBS inspections; correctly address and forward requests and monitor status.
Monitor and track training certifications, medical check-ups, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee training programs and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, OSHA, and internal safety and hygiene requirements.
Conduct regular inspections to guarantee cleanliness, safety, and operational compliance.
Collaborate with QA to ensure product specifications are met and overall quality is maintained.
Deliver required Factory and Machine efficiency metrics through process optimization and employee training.
Coordinate sanitation schedules and review sterilization processes.
Maintenance & Facility Management
Ensure efficient asset utilization and minimize downtime.
Support and oversee the annual maintenance plan in coordination with maintenance teams.
Implement and sustain autonomous maintenance processes and own the BOC process.
Utilize RCA and problem-solving techniques (BDA) to drive corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with facility standards and coordinate improvement actions.
Ensure area ownership accountabilities are sustained across all shifts.
Collaboration & Reporting
Financial & Resource Management
Oversee and control departmental budget, ensuring cost efficiency across fixed and variable costs.
Lead capital project implementation and assess feasibility and impact.
Plan and secure necessary materials, workforce, and equipment for production.
Develop and approve shift schedules with accordance with plan.
Monitor shift-related expenses and avoid unnecessary costs.

Requirements :
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 35 years in manufacturing or packaging operations
At least 2 years in a managerial role
Experience in brewing technology and team leadership
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and Lean Manufacturing principles
Skills & Attributes
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
Highly organized with attention to detail and time management
Ability to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs as needed
Creative problem-solving and project management capabilities
Practical experience with change implementation and project justification
