Academic Intervention Assistant Coordinator
The Assistant Coordinator for Academic Intervention is responsible for supporting undergraduate students participating in the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) program and / or referred by other campus constituents. The role involves providing timely academic intervention through individual and group meetings, follow-ups, and referrals for students at risk of losing financial aid due to lack of satisfactory academic progress under federal guidelines.
The Assistant Coordinator assists the Coordinator by managing SAP and ARC Peer Educator programs, including recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating Peer Mentors. They provide professional knowledge and strategies related to learning skills, working independently on standard program presentations and receiving guidance from higher-level Student Academic Specialists on adapting counseling to various learning styles and linguistic issues.
The salary range is $26.82 - $46.17 per hour, with an expected pay scale of $26.82 - $28.30 per hour, based on education, experience, and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization; the university cannot sponsor employment visas at this time. All employees must comply with university policies and applicable government directives.
