Maintenance Technician - Lakeland
Shift : Monday - Friday (8 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm)
Must be available for on-call emergencies at night and on weekends.

The Maintenance Technician is an important position on the Stayable team. A remarkable Maintenance Technician is both proactive and responsive to ensure guests receive functioning, safe, and clean accommodations at all times. They bring knowledge and experience from various trades and are exceptional at troubleshooting persistent and one-off problems.

Compensation :
Starts at $20 per hour

This is an hourly-paid position that may occasionally allow for overtime. Maintenance Technicians have multiple opportunities for bonuses. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on experience, cost of living, and contribution to the property’s success.
Responsibilities :
Maintenance Technicians are generally responsible for performing preventative maintenance, responding to service calls, and taking on larger projects as needed. Below is a summary of primary responsibilities.
Service Calls
Respond promptly to emergencies with a sense of urgencyLog before and after photos in the cloud / mobile ticketing systemAssist colleagues with heavy lifts and other team tasksRepair drywall, texture, paint, and basic carpentry itemsInstall and remove appliances, TVs, and IT equipmentMake standard repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systemsTroubleshoot and repair malfunctions in standard hotel equipment and systemsPreventative Maintenance and Projects
Follow checklists and assignments to maintain and improve rooms and public spacesMaintain the exterior of the building if not serviced by a contractorInspect rooms for unsafe or unsanitary conditionsPerform security tasks as needed to identify and address safety issuesInstall and remove flooring, cabinetry, lighting and plumbing fixtures, smoke detectors, and furnitureClean and service PTAC unitsReplace batteries in door locks, smoke detectors, and IoT devicesWork outdoors for extended periods throughout the year on landscaping, fencing, parking lot, doors and windows, roofing, and other repairs and improvementsStandards
Bring your own hand tools and reliable transportationProactively address safety and property condition issues immediately when identifiedWork effectively in occupied and vacant roomsKeep maintenance shop and punch cart clean and tidyEnsure rooms and public spaces are in good repair, including walls, flooring, and FF&EGeneral
