Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform offers online Conversational Spanish for Adults tutoring. You'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students' learning journeys—from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide online one-on-one or small-group Conversational Spanish instruction to adult learners.
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned to student goals and proficiency levels.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain a consistent tutoring schedule and communicate with students as needed.
  • Use the Live Learning Platform tools to conduct sessions remotely.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Conversational Spanish for adults and ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40 / hour for repeat students.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like.
  • Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting.
  • AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time.
  • We handle logistics and payments; you invoice for your sessions.
