General information about the unit :

Number of beds : 34 (maximum capacity of 43 patients).

Type of staff on day shift : 1 charge nurse, 8 registered nurses, 3 technicians, 1 unit secretary when at maximum capacity.

Type of staff on night shift : 1 charge nurse, 8 registered nurses, 1 technician, 1 unit secretary when at maximum capacity.

Patient ratios : 5 : 1.

Type of equipment : Remote telemonitoring.

Electronic Medical Record : Meditech.

Typical hiring profile includes : travel registered nurses, local certified nursing assistants, and sitters.

Candidates must have BLS certification.

Preferred skills include NIH Stroke certification and ACLS certification.

Typical procedures performed on this unit include general medical and surgical care, as well as care for stroke and neurological patients.

The ideal candidate should possess an upbeat, engaged, and compassionate demeanor.

Dress code : Navy scrubs.
