job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssist residents with seating in the dining room Greet residents when taking and serving meal selections Ensure proper dining room setup and proper table setting Knowledge of table clearing techniques during and after dining service Responsible for resetting table during and after dining service General duties include but are not limited to : cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and dusting the kitchen and dining room Ensures proper garbage and trash removal Complete side work : napkin folding, stocking and cleaning wait station, refilling condiments Understand menu items and ability to explain preparation methods Provide a high satisfactory level of customer service to promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere Knowledge of individual diet needs as prescribed by physician Ensure all meals delivered are garnished Reports to the Cook or Executive Chef any equipment and supplies that are needed Ensures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contacts Able to make independent decisions Must be able to communicate a warm, friendly and caring manner Must be able to follow recipes and menus Must fully understand the importance of reliability and timeliness Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens Knowledge of customer service principles and practices High School Graduate or equivalent Experience in serving in an upscale dining environment is preferred
