Receptionist
Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with delivering patient care, with a focus on excellent customer service.
Greets patients, answers phones, and provides general assistance to support smooth department operations. Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling systems and confirms availability of facilities and staff. Verifies insurance benefits, obtains precertification or authorization when required, and determines or accepts payments including co-pays and deductibles. Refers to financial counselors as needed. Ensures all demographic, billing, and clinical information is collected accurately and entered promptly into the registration system. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate patient flow and maintain a positive experience for patients and visitors.
Requirements Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a medical or administrative office setting preferred.
