Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MedSurg / Tele Float Pool position requiring night shifts and an AZ or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care setting on a MedSurg / Tele Float Pool
  • Float between PCU, two Med / Tele units, ER, L&D, Behavioral Health, and ICU (for MS overflow only)
  • 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour work week
  • Cares for adult and pediatric medical-surgical and telemetry patients
  • Nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 5 days, 1 : 6 nights, and 1 : 4 peds, depending on acuity
  • Allscripts Sunrise EMR system is used
  • Support staff includes tele techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
  • Hospitalist, respiratory therapist, and pharmacy coverage are available 24 / 7
  • Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
  • No IV team is present on site
  • Any color scrubs may be worn, but scrubs are not provided
  • COVID-19 vaccination is preferred; religious exemptions will be considered

  • Active AZ or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Certifications required : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
  • Experience with Allscripts Sunrise EMR preferred
