Care Career is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • 48 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Travel
  • Shift : Night, 4x12-hour (19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Schedule : 3x12 or 4x12, EOW required
  • Location : Indiana
  • Contract : 13 weeks, 48 guaranteed hours / week
  • Licenses / Certifications Required :

NBRC-RRT

  • ACLS, BLS
  • NRP (for L&D as required)
  • PALS preferred
  • Education : CoARC accredited program, regionally accredited by CHEA
  • Experience Required :

    • 18 months recent NICU or PICU experience

  • L&D experience required (placement primarily in L&D)
  • Trauma Level I experience in a children’s hospital within last year preferred
  • Skills / Competencies :

    • Ventilator management : Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5

  • Pediatric critical care : NICU, PICU, Peds floating
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation, ABG interpretation, aerosol therapy, emergency interventions
  • Floating within NICU, PICU, Peds, or IU Health North Hospital as needed
  • Additional Requirements :

    • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

  • 2 supervisor references required
  • Modules required pre-start (8–16 hours, partially onsite)
  • Local IN residents considered local; floating required
  • Vaccines : Flu required (medical / religious exemptions allowed), COVID-19 not required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Notes : IU Health restrictions for IN travelers effective 11 / 30 / 24 (exemptions for Periop / OR, Allied, Ambulatory RN)

    • Summary : High-acuity NICU / PICU RN travel assignment in Indiana with heavy pediatric and L&D focus, requiring floating across NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics units. Ideal for experienced neonatal / pediatric critical care nurses with ventilator experience and required IN licensure.

    NBRC-RRT\nACLS, BLS\nNRP (for L&D as required)\nPALS preferred
