Matrix Providers is hiring a Traumatic Brain Injury Provider ( Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Billings, MT.
This position is a combination of TELEHEALTH & TRAVEL.
- Employment Status : Independent Contractor
- Compensation : This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule : Part Time, Telehealth - 2 days a week (Required Travel within MT, and all Region 4 States (AZ, NM, CA, NV, UT, OR, ID, WA, AK, HI), as needed)
Requirement Qualifications :
Must hold an MD / DO license in at least one state in the United States.Must be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) or candidate must have completed a 2-year residency with one of these specialties.Psychiatrists are occasionally considered but must meet the board certification or residency requirements and are subject to approval from the medical director.Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and careProficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platformsSkilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-makingWorks independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlinesPreferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in clinical settingsPrior VA or C&P experienceThis role performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will not treat, and you will not prescribe
medication in this position. This is an in-person position, telehealth opportunities may present as needed.
Responsibilities :
Read Order request(s) including any remarks, questions, directions, or requests for opinion; thorough review of medical history including service records and previous exams. This includes refuting previous medical opinions from previous examinersCompletes appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through the Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) during the exam and provides necessary documentation to the VA with a full understanding of the Veteran's claimed contention(s)Explain the exam process to the veteran and confirm the claimed conditions with the veteranComplete the chart and submit the exam within 24-48 hours after the exam is completedAdministers and interprets the MOCA test as neededFlexible schedule allowing exams to be completed in person and potentially telehealthIf telehealth exams are requested :Willing to troubleshoot IT issues with veteran
Ability to navigate in a virtual platformMaintain a professional background for virtual appointmentKey Attributes :
