About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : 3 years required

License : Pending State License accepted

Certifications : BLS, RCDS or RCS required

Must-Have : Willingness to work 4 of the 8 identified holidays

Description :

Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with rotations every other week including one weekend day.

Up to 5 days of call per month.

Caseload per tech : Approximately 7-9 exams per day, with each exam estimated to last 1 hour.

Candidates with 3 years of experience are required.

First-timers are accepted.

Local candidates are not accepted due to a 70-mile radius rule.

All requested time off must be submitted with the application.

Any additional time off requests after signing will be at the manager's discretion.

The facility is an academic level 1 trauma, stroke, and transplant hospital serving high acuity patients.

There are 5 full-time sonographers and 3 PRNs in the unit.

Chemical and physical stress exams are preferred, and bedside exams are commonplace.

Must hold RDCS or RCS credential.

Capability to perform both dobutamine and exercise stress echocardiograms is preferred.

The daily caseload is expected to be approximately 7-9 cases, averaging 1 case per hour.

Experience with adult acute care and adult outpatient settings is preferred.

Familiarity with pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, portable studies, and ICU / ED procedures is desired.

Candidates should have experience in obtaining 12 lead EKG / ECG.

Candidates must be clean-shaven for fit testing prior to starting.

Travelers cannot work as travelers for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning.
