The Production And Logistics Manager directs, manages and coordinates production activities to ensure that goods are delivered efficiently on time, within budget and to quality standards. Individual will coordinate activities and negotiates rates, terms and settlements with both foreign and domestic shippers as required.
Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, overseeing production / CPOE capacity planning, establishing priorities and sequences manufacturing to meet customer delivery requirements, and ensuring that manufacturing of products and CPOE, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met. The role also involves monitoring production / CPOE activity, planning for and managing human resource requirements, reviewing production / CPOE reports, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment, developing process improvements, analyzing and correcting operational, manufacturing, maintenance and quality problems, building strong working relationships, motivating team members, identifying and sharing training opportunities, assisting with long-range operating goals, developing operating budgets, delivering progress and production reports, maintaining production related documents, communicating problems to senior management, assisting with LATAM production challenges, liaising with order processing teams, negotiating with logistics companies, understanding compliance and conformity to tariff and customs regulations, contacting customs officials, preparing reports of transactions, following up on shipments, reviewing and approving invoices, ensuring efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments, supporting ISO activities, and performing other activities as required.
Required education and qualifications include a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required skills and competencies include managing production and warehouse employees, reading and interpreting business periodicals, writing reports and correspondence, applying mathematical concepts, applying principles of logical and scientific thinking, and dealing with nonverbal symbolism.
