Responsibilities Position is on a surgical unit within a hospital setting Provides care for complex post-operative adult surgical patients Day shift schedule from 7 : 00AM to 7 : 30PM, three 12-hour shifts per week Uses Epic EMR for charting Works collaboratively with general surgical and OMFS residency teams Will be required to monitor and care for tracheostomies, wound vacs, and manage new ostomies No local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and modifying plans of care for complex post-op surgical patients Participates in wound management, tracheostomy care, and ostomy education for patients and families Must maintain accurate and thorough documentation RTO (Requested Time Off) may not exceed 7 days within a 13-week contract Not eligible for candidates who have been on continuous assignment at the facility for more than one year; a six-month break is required before returning No travel partners accepted for this position Requirements Active Illinois RN license; temporary license accepted Minimum of one year relevant Med / Surg nursing experience required BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Current experience with Level 1 Trauma patient care required Epic EMR experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618757.
