Rates : $3000 / 24hr (4 hour gratis), $500 / hr call-back after 4 hours

Position Overview :

Facility is seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide part-time coverage, focusing on endoscopy procedures and ambulatory clinic care. This role is to support a team of three physicians, providing much-needed access to care and call coverage.

Responsibilities : Schedule :

Clinic and call responsibilities.

Five 8-hour days weekly, consisting of 2 full endoscopy days, 3 half endoscopy days, and 3 half office days.

Call will be shared with three other physicians each month.

Duties :

Evaluate and treat patients in the ambulatory clinic.

Perform endoscopy procedures, including ERCP and EUS.

Office procedures include esophageal manometry, video capsule endoscopy, and FibroScan, performed by clinical staff and interpreted by physicians.

Required Procedures : ERCP and EUS.

EMR / Charting : Cerner.

Support Staff : Medical receptionists, surgery schedulers, medical assistants, registered nurses.

Reason for Coverage : A locum provider is taking a six-month break, and the previous backfill was canceled.

Qualifications :

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (REQUIRED).

Active Arizona License (REQUIRED) or IMLC with LOQ in hand.

Residency Requirements / Fellowship in Gastroenterology (REQUIRED).

BLS Certification (REQUIRED).

Clean Malpractice Record (Preferred).

Credentialing Information :

Credentialing Timeframe : 90-120 days.

Patient Information :

Average Cases / Day : 15 outpatient cases on full endoscopy days, 8 on half days.

Office Patients : 8-10 patients, 2-3 days / week.

Inpatients : Varies depending on the number of call days.

Patient Population : Includes complex IBD, liver patients, and colorectal cancer screenings.
