Position Summary : The Senior Inventory Analyst analyzes data to determine the optimal inventory levels to support our patient care while minimizing excess inventory on hand and eliminating product expiration. Informs the team of their performance to department KPI's. Lead's the team by putting inventory standards in place and auditing the results. Maintains software systems as pertaining to data in Hybrent / Cerner systems

- Advanced computer experience in MS Office Suite with emphasis in MS Excel and SQL is preferred.
- Ability to lead teams of non-direct reports in Supply Chain Process Improvement initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
Analyze complex data to identify trends and provide actionable insights that drive business strategy and performance.Leads New Products Committee efforts in proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings in medical supply and implants.Monitor and update stocking schedule to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls.Controls inventory of goods needed for forecasted usage and scheduled distribution.Maintain and update the inventory system.Analyze inventory levels, distribution speed, product demand, and shipment schedules to determine reorder levels to ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs including costs of products, freights, distribution markups, GPO costs, etc.Manage OrthoNebraska's inventory assets in a manner which maximizes profitability and minimizes inventory investment.Responsible for inventory management activities at OrthoNebraska, including proactively identifying and reconciling soon to expire products, correcting inventory discrepancies, validating vendor direct orders, and executing additions / reductions to inventory.Will lead ongoing Inventory optimization efforts of all department core supply areas.Will work overstocks in all locations, with the goal of moving product to the areas that use it the most or return it to the distributor or vendor.Will analyze slow / no move reports and communicate this data with Department Managers.Works closely with Logistics Manager to create, analyze, and maintain a wide variety of analytical, compliance, and budget reports for supply chain including savings initiatives and inventory and PAR usage and Reorder Points through the effective use of ERP and Microsoft Office Products.Suggests, designs, and accomplishes the layout and labeling of shelving, bin, and products in inventory and PAR locations, working closely with department clinical staff and distribution team members.Maintains an updated list of clinically accepted substitute products and works directly with central procurement to obtain supplies.Meets with Logistics Manger routinely to resolve inventory problems and create solutions for more efficient inventory practices.Follows consignment process by working in conjunction with vendor reps in trading out expired / soon to expire consignment products.Investigates all stock outs and implements appropriate solutions.Assists in item conversion efforts with medical staff.Supports end user customer satisfaction as it relates to department core supply area utilization and supply chain management.Assists in maintaining the security of the distribution area and its contents.Contributes to the productivity of the work sections through compliance with hospital policies / procedures.Complies with safety policies and procedures, regulatory requirements such as OSHA, JCAHO, HIPAA, and participates in department safety activities.Maintains a clean and friendly work environment.Serves as cross coverage during times of high workload and / or to cover other positions PTO, illness, etc.Performs other duties as directed or as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.Physical requirements : This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Must have the ability and understanding of how to work in potential hazardous, noisy, and dangerous situations with the proper use of personal safety equipment. Must be able to work from ladders, extended heights, roofs, and scaffolding.
