Medical Care Specialist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses.

Your duties will include maintaining patient records, preparing equipment, and assisting with treatments.

Administer medications, obtain vital signs, and record patient information in a timely and accurate manner.

Prepare patients for exams, instruct on sample collection, and perform initial assessments to ensure quality care.

Coordinate patient transfers, give telephone orders, and accept test results in a fast-paced environment.

Perform tasks such as specimen collection, indwelling catheter urine collection, sputum collection, and other procedures as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have one year of experience in a related field and hold a current Louisiana LPN License. Current BLS certification is also required.
