Senior Vice President Of Research & Analytics
Ruder Finn is seeking a Senior Vice President of Research & Analytics to join its award-winning TechLab team in a leadership role. As a Senior Vice President, this role will lead the research and analytics department, overseeing a global team across the U.S. and India and reporting to our Head of AI and Chief Technology Officer. The SVP will partner with experienced client leaders across the organization, join forces with branding and communication strategists, and leverage creative teams to create strategy and insights for our clients and prospects.
The ideal candidate should possess strong strategic thinking skills and be well-versed in research tools and platforms; particularly adept in crafting narratives and storytelling, statistics, web analytics, and social media analytics. This is a strategic leadership role in our TechLab group with hands-on management of research and analytics projects, supporting major accounts and working with the CTO on the agency's focus on AI and technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead complex and diverse communication research projects, which include primary research efforts (both quantitative and qualitative), measurement, and secondary research in partnership with our account teams
- Independently run projects and provide strategic counsel to clients and internal account teams
- Deliver market and audience intelligence, including social and digital landscape analysis, audience behavior analysis, sentiment analysis, keyword research, search performance, and competitor analysis including but not limited to share of voice and message pull-through
- Lead client analytics discussions involving reporting, optimization, and recommendations for improving performance
- Build measurement frameworks, set up searches and dashboards, and develop client-facing insights and reports
- Drive insights generation, storytelling, and strategic recommendations grounded in data to support client strategy and planning
- Possess a curiosity about new analytics tools and introduce them to the agency with a recommendation on best use cases
- Manage and develop staff of research analysts and analytics managers in learning best practices, and improving speed and accuracy of reports as well as ad hoc analytics deliverables
- Collaborate closely with the creative planning group and other cross-functional teams
- Support training initiatives, including advanced analytics and AI training for the broader organization
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fieldA minimum of 10 years of communications agency or in-house experience in a research and analytics roleExperience defining measurement plans and analyzing performance for marketing campaigns including media analytics, web analytics and CRMSkilled in creating complex Boolean queries and using analytics tools like Cision, Brandwatch, Rival IQ, Meltwater, and Signal AI.Expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and one or more contemporary data visualization platforms (e.g. : Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.) along with SQLProficiency in AWS, Python, R, and any other statistical computing or functional programming language is a major plusExperienced in working with third-party APIs for data collection and processing.Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and compelling narrativesExcellent problem-solving, creative thinking and independent decision makingStrong project management skills, self-starter, ability to adapt and multi-task, and a proven track record of delivering quality and accurate results in a fast-paced and high efficiency agency environmentProven leadership experience managing teams and running multiple client accounts.Experience with key verticals - healthcare, consumer, B2B, technology - is preferred but not required.Extremely strong verbal and written English language communication skillsBenefits & More

The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications.
