Sr. Compliance Specialist – Commercial & Consumer Lending
Location : Dover, DE (Hybrid)
Compensation : $29.50 – $37.50 / hour
Status : Full-time, Exempt
On behalf of a well-established, community-minded financial institution, we are seeking an experienced compliance professional to support oversight of both commercial and consumer lending activities. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, helping ensure that lending operations remain compliant with all applicable regulations and internal policies. You will collaborate closely with multiple departments, contribute to process improvements, and provide insight that supports responsible growth in both commercial and consumer lending portfolios.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide subject matter expertise on compliance requirements related to commercial and consumer lending.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and testing, ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues.
- Support Fair Lending initiatives, including risk assessments and program governance.
- Advise on regulatory changes impacting both business and consumer loan operations, assisting with implementation.
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify process improvements and mitigate compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance processes, policies, and training resources.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to promote a proactive compliance culture.
Qualifications :
3–5 years of experience in lending compliance, risk management, or a related role.Strong knowledge of regulations governing commercial and consumer lending (Fair Lending, ECOA, HMDA, etc.).Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., NCCO, CUCE, CRCM) or willingness to obtain within one year.Experience working with auditors, examiners, and cross-functional teams.What Our Client Offers :
