Director of Human Resources

Amistad Health in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking a new Director of Human Resources. Amistad is a Federally Qualified Health Center, one of the many across the country who 1 out of 10 in the population use as their primary medical home. Amistad employs 130+ employees, covering positions found in regular outpatient medical clinics as well as additional supportive care such as case workers, quality care staff, and informatics.

Given the size of the organization, the director is hands on involving work with employees and paperwork. The director is a member of the six person senior leadership team and reports to the CEO. Key points to the position include managing new employee onboarding and orientation, serving as point of contact for visa coordination with outside attorneys, posting and receiving all job positions, serving as point of contact for employee insurance and benefits, serving as an avenue for employee concerns, ensuring company compliance with laws relating to HR, creating and editing HR related policies as needed, and providing HR related content for reporting requirements for state and federal agencies.

Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's in human resources related area or equivalent experience.

Specific prior experience in healthcare facilities and Texas HR law is beneficial but not required in order to apply.
