CSIF Communications Internship - Summer 2026

JOB SUMMARY : The communications intern helps develop strategies focused on supporting farmers as they raise livestock responsibly and successfully. From the office to the field, the communications intern acquires hands-on experience in agriculture, journalism, public relations, marketing, social media, event management, and much more. This paid internship is full-time from May-August, with potential for the selected applicant to work part-time in the spring / fall.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( other duties may be assigned) :

• Develop communications content for the CSIF website, Good Farm Neighbor Award, Green Farmstead Partner program, Building Your Livestock Legacy, and social media platforms, etc.
• Help coordinate livestock open houses and Good Farm Neighbor Award events, field days and other events.
• Manage / promote the content and branding of Iowa Ag Intel resources and messaging.
• Work closely with Iowa's nine commodity groups and farm organizations.
• Implement CSIF's values by instilling in farmers the best management practices for animal husbandry, environmental stewardship and community involvement.
