Position Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman (Fire Alarm specialty) to oversee the installation, coordination, and supervision of fire alarm and life-safety systems on local commercial and industrial projects in the Dallas area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field, takes ownership of projects, and enjoys mentoring crews while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews in the installation and wiring of fire alarm systems and related electrical infrastructure
- Review drawings, specifications, and project plans for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure all installations meet NEC, NFPA 72, and applicable local codes
- Coordinate activities with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce company safety policies
- Track project progress, materials, and manpower efficiently
- Support system testing, commissioning, and closeout
- Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen in both technical and leadership skills
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years in a Foreman or Lead roleHands-on experience with major fire alarm systemsStrong understanding of NEC and fire / life safety codesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagramsExcellent communication, organization, and leadership abilitiesValid Texas Journeyman or Electrician License requiredNICET Level II (or higher) and OSHA 30 preferredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. and based locally in the Dallas areaCompensation
