Job Title :  Operations Manager – Mitigation & Construction Location :  Albany, NY 12205  Salary :  $70,000 – $90,000

MacFawn Fire and Flood Restoration is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead mitigation and construction projects from start to finish. This role blends leadership with direct involvement in projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while guiding and mentoring project teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct detailed  site visits and inspections  to assess project scope, identify potential issues, and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Prepare precise and comprehensive  estimates and reports using Xactimate , including mitigation and construction components.
• Oversee the full  project lifecycle , managing budgets, schedules, materials, and labor to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and smooth workflow.
• Provide  technical guidance and mentorship  to team members, sharing expertise in mitigation techniques, construction methods, and industry best practices.
• Implement and enforce  safety protocols and OSHA compliance  on all job sites.
• Monitor project quality, troubleshoot issues, and proactively implement solutions to maintain high standards.
• Be available to respond to  emergency restoration needs in an on-call setting , ensuring timely support for clients and field teams.

Requirements :

OSHA 10 Certification (or higher preferred)

IICRC Certifications in relevant areas (Water, Fire, Mold, or Structural Drying)

Proven  hands-on experience in construction and mitigation / restoration projects

Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines effectively

Comfortable working on-site and performing hands-on inspections and technical work
