As a Member Services Clerk at Southwest Louisiana Electric Membership Corporation (SLEMCO), you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent service to our cooperative members in Lafayette, LA. This position involves processing payments, maintaining precise account information, and ensuring the efficient distribution of mail and correspondence. Your responsibilities will include receiving and applying member payments using Opex and Aperta software systems, assisting with service applications, and processing disconnection requests. You will also handle miscellaneous service orders, address member inquiries, and ensure smooth cashier operations.

Your ability to maintain accurate consumer account data and facilitate communication within departments will be vital to sustaining positive member relationships and enhancing daily operational efficiency.
