Description :

The Emergency Department has a total of 45 beds.

The unit is staffed by 102 personnel members.

Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.

Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 1 navigator, 7 RNs, 1 paramedic, 1 nurse tech, and 1 unit secretary.

Patient ratio is 4 : 1.

The department is equipped with GE Monitors & EKGs, Life Pak Monitors, and a Pyxis Medication Dispensing System.

EMR utilized is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed include reduction / splint, chest tube placement, accessing Port-a-Cath, blood product administration, and intubation.

The ideal candidate will be respectful, team-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Weekends involve 4 weekend shifts per schedule.

Day shift weekend requirements are Saturday and Sunday.

Night shift weekend requirements are Friday and Saturday.
