Change Control Experience

All physical layer hands on

1. 3-8 + years experience as a Systems / Network Data Center tech

2. Understanding of Networks, physical hardware, subnets, VLAN's, Physical Connections, Ability to understand the hardware and turn up

3. Understanding of Load Balancers how they operate in a DC and in a corporate network, configuration of them

4. Understanding of Firewalls, ports, configurations

5. Understanding of Server hardware, configuration, connection with management layer to OS turn up, Once ready to accept the application load

6. Understanding of SAN Systems, backend connectivity, troubleshooting fiber optics

Must be great and have a passion for Documentation - they use DCIM (data center information management) that would be a huge plus to have works with that documentation system before

Description

Working hours will flexibly be 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM. On-call or after hours duties required.

What you would be responsible for :

Monitors systems for optimum performance and availability.

Installs, configures and maintains systems, such as LAN, WAN, Internet and / or data networks.

Implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

Troubleshoots and resolves customer and internally-reported system problems.

Implements and monitors corporate security policies.

Documents and implements system procedures, policies and events.

Participates in on-call 24x7 support rotation.

Performs essential functions required for effective system backup and restore testing.

Performs periodic recovery testing of DR plans.

May manage data access and data permissions.

May assist support groups with applications installed on servers.

May perform other functions as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

What would be nice for you to have :

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Applicable industry standard certifications.

Developing professional expertise. Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.

Good knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and principles.

General communication and customer interaction skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems in a timely manner

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 / hr.
