The Manager, Workforce Development is a role central to our Workforce Development strategy, which focuses on attracting and recruiting and diverse and passionate water workforce through :
WEF’s Workforce Development team leads flagship programs like InFLOW (Introducing Future Leaders to Opportunities in Water), Water Leadership Institute, operator programs, and emerging leader programs within the Students and Young Professionals Community. The Manager, Workforce Development will lead assigned programs, collaborating with volunteers, utilities, academic institutions, and industry partners to deliver high-impact leadership development experiences (both in-person and online). The ideal candidate will have experience developing excellent and highly impactful programming for annual programs and in-person events for current and future water leaders of the water sector. The position reports to the Senior Director, Workforce Development.
NOTE : This role is hybrid and requires working in the office (Alexandria, VA) 2 days every other week. Travel is required (up to 20% of the year) for meetings and events.
