  • Position : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)\n
  • Location : Kankakee, Illinois (60901) – Illinois healthcare jobs\n
  • Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (5 : 00pm – 5 : 30am)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020\n
  • Scheduling : Self-scheduling with every other weekend rotation and every third holiday\n
  • Start Date : November 24, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 23, 2026\n
  • Dress Code : Hospital-supplied scrubs\n
  • Charting System : EpicCare Inpatient – EMR\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois RN license preferred\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience\n
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification\n
  • Current C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification\n
  • Experience with labor management, operating room (OR) circulation, and PACU recovery\n
  • Ability to titrate drips (Oxytocin, Insulin, Magnesium)\n
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting fetal monitoring strips\n
  • Valid Driver's License required for submission\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including labor management, delivery, and postpartum care\n
  • Circulate in the operating room for C-sections and assist with PACU recovery\n
  • Titrate and monitor medications such as Oxytocin, Insulin, and Magnesium\n
  • Interpret and document fetal monitoring strips using GE monitors and Periwatch EFM system\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including OBs, pediatricians, anesthesia, and scrub techs\n
  • Float to postpartum unit as needed based on patient volume\n
  • Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to weekend / holiday rotation requirements\n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EpicCare EMR\n
