Assistant Meat Manager

Overview

The Fresh Market Assistant Meat Manager position supporting the Meat and Seafood Manager with inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require attention to detail. This is a fast-paced role focused on efficiency, effectiveness, and delivering an exceptional guest and team member experience.

What You'll Do

• Coordinating the ordering of meat items with the Meat and Seafood Manager
• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of department meat and seafood products and items for convenient meal solutions; manage quality product levels per The Fresh Market standards
• Greet guests and proactively assist them with accurate and timely information
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, and shrink / damage reduction
• Properly receive / stock goods with rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through The Fresh Market's internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

Availability

This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

CERTIFICATIONS

All The Fresh Market Assistant Meat Managers must be certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire.
