Registered Respiratory Therapist - Long-term Acute Care - (RRT - Acute)

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist jobs in Florida offer you the chance to provide advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. You will assess, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including those in intensive care and emergency situations. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans, performing diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood and sputum samples, administering therapies like chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, setting up and monitoring respiratory equipment, observing and recording patient progress, and educating patients and families on medication and equipment use. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and may be assigned other duties within the scope of RRT practice.Essential skills include critical thinking, service excellence, strong interpersonal communication, and proficiency in English and PC skills. Required qualifications are one year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, an RRT credential from the NBRC, a valid Florida respiratory therapy license, and current BLS certification.
