Position Description

This is a categorically funded position and continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of grant funds and approval by the Governing Board.

Under direction, the Job Developer will work with local employers and organizations to establish and fulfill employment and work-based learning opportunities for students.

Responsibilities

Scope of Assignment

• Evaluate and determine the needs of industry, employers, and community partners.
• Develop, oversee, and implement marketing and employment / work-based learning outreach activities.
• Evaluate, coordinate and leverage the resources of the diverse agencies to provide comprehensive support for employers, students, and educational programs.
• Collaboratively develop and manage a strategic plan for career placement services.
• Create programs to ensure certificate and degree completers are competitive in securing and connected to living wage jobs within their field of study.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a full-time, 12-month, temporary professional expert position. Continued employment is contingent upon approval of the Chaffey College Governing Board. The salary is $7,200 / monthly. Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community / Chaffey partners / Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.
