Position Description :
We are seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to support a mission-critical federal program focused on protecting enterprise systems and data. In this role, you will lead vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and security monitoring to identify, analyze, and remediate potential threats across complex IT environments. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to drive proactive defense, strengthen system resilience, and maintain compliance with NIST RMF and DoD cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation using tools such as ACAS, HBSS, and Tenable Security Center.
- Manage vulnerability data and apply risk-based prioritization strategies to ensure timely mitigation and compliance.
- Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in developing and maintaining RMF certification and authorization documentation.
- Implement and refine security policies, STIGs, and continuous monitoring procedures to align with DoD and NIST requirements.
- Collaborate with system engineers to assess security impacts of system modifications and technology upgrades.
- Conduct research and recommend solutions for improving vulnerability management frameworks and reducing risk exposure.
- Document findings, remediation activities, and system security posture for internal stakeholders and external audits.
Required Skills & Education :
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (7+ years of experience may substitute for degree).3+ years of hands-on experience in information security, system hardening, or vulnerability management.Expertise with Windows Server 2016 / 2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Radius.Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and SQL Server.Skilled in applying patches, updates, and STIGs across systems and networks.Familiarity with endpoint protection and vulnerability management tools such as Trellix ENS (formerly McAfee) and Tenable Security Center (ACAS).Possess and maintain IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP).Strong understanding of NIST 800-53, RMF, and continuous monitoring frameworks.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) programs.Knowledge of PowerShell or Python for automation and reporting.Proven ability to translate complex technical data into actionable insights for leadership teams.About Seneca Resources
