Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. Previous work history reflecting stable employment. If no work experience, will consider school attendance and performance records. Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Must participate in Perinatal Continuing Education Program (PCEP) when offered at that hospital. Must complete STABLE program within 1 year of hire and maintained if offered at NRHS. Must attend breastfeeding classes as offered. Must attend required teach weeks / skills fairs and participate in emergency drills while on the job.

The Registered Nurse (RN) I in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides essential nursing care to newborns, collaborating with healthcare professionals to establish care strategies and evaluate patient outcomes. With a focus on family-centered care and adherence to the ICARE values, this role supports the overall mission of the Norman Regional Health System. Required qualifications include a current RN license and participation in ongoing training related to neonatal care.
Overview :
Compensation / Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46 / hr. depending on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $2.50 / hr.
- Night differential $3.00 / hr.
- Weekend differential $3.00 / hr.

Norman Regional Health System Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 25 bed Level III unit with a Neonatal Ground Transport Team. We focus on family-centered care. We have 5 Neonatologist on staff. We are looking for Healers who can encompass our Norman Regional Health System five care values : Integrity, Communications, Attitude, Results, and Engagement; or as we cal,l ICARE values. We a special team of Neonatal Nurses. Our mission is to serve our community as the leader in health and wellness. We do so by providing a positive and compassionate attitude toward our families, and co-workers.
