Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) is responsible for delivering compassionate care to residents in long-term care settings during scheduled shifts. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will provide resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities based on individual care plans. Expect to :

Ensure age-appropriate care regarding residents' physical and psychological needs.

Assistance with daily activities including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and providing emotional support.

Help residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning while maintaining proper techniques.

Support meal preparation and ensure a positive dining experience.

Document resident care interactions and communicate any changes to the charge nurse.

Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean living space for residents.

Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.

This is a part-time PM shift with shorter shifts available.

Qualifications

Preferred : High school diploma or GED; minimum age of 16.

Previous experience as a nursing assistant in long-term care is preferred.

Required : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing or state-certified within four months of hire.

Complete yearly competency tests and 12 hours of continuing education annually.

For applicable states, maintain certification with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

May require a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle report.
