Experience : 3 years total experience required, with 2 years preferred in specialty

License : California RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale preferred; PALS preferred

Must-Have :

• Trained in the recovery of patients as well as Interventional Radiology Cath Lab procedures
• Critical Care Medical Imaging / Interventional Radiology experience
• Proficiency with conscious sedation
• Experience with medication system Pyxis
• Previous travel experience preferred

Description :

The Medical Imaging Nursing department is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse.

The role requires managing access ports and monitoring vital signs and tidal CO2.

The RN will be responsible for setting up trays and fields for procedures.

Administering and monitoring patients under moderate sedation is essential.

The nurse will assist with procedures such as paracentesis and CT biopsies.

The patient age range includes pediatric to geriatric populations.

Ventilator experience is preferred, specifically with Philips monitors and gravity flow IV.

Respiratory support is available 24 / 7, as well as anesthesia support.

The unit includes one CT scanner and two nursing bays for paracentesis.

No floating or on-call duties are required for this position.
