What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
Review medical records to code visits and procedures with high specificity and accuracyProvide education to physicians and healthcare staff on correct coding rules and documentation requirementsReview insurance Explanation of Benefits and billing correspondence for denials, trends, and payment errorsMeet productivity and coding accuracy goals as assigned by managementAssist in training onboarding Coding Specialists and support denial and appeal specialistsWhat is Required (Qualifications) :
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required1 year of professional coding experience requiredMust be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes and medical terminologyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHow to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
Associate Degree preferred2 years of medical billing experience preferredExperience with EPIC software preferredProven self-starter with the ability to motivate personnelFamiliarity with virtual meeting applications (WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.)We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
