Responsibilities Position is based in a hospital ICU setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am; block scheduling is not permitted Every other weekend work is required, totaling two weekends per month Floating is mandatory to multiple ICU specialties including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU, with potential to float to Med / Surg units as needed Initial orientation and precepting shifts are on day shift Cerner is used for charting, and prior experience is recommended All staff may be asked to float to any facility within a 50-mile range, with notification as little as 2 hours prior to a shift Proficiency in providing advanced critical care nursing across multiple specialized ICU units is required Strict adherence to holiday and RTO policies : maximum 5 days RTO per contract, no more than 2 consecutive days, no RTO allowed on weekends, holidays, or the day before / after a holiday Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided by the facility Parking is available for a $2 daily rate at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center with shuttle service to the hospital Team-based care support model will be utilized when floated outside primary competency Proof of all standard vaccinations, including COVID-19 (booster not required), must be provided before start Requirements Active unrestricted IL RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Must be able to float between ICU specialties and Med / Surg units as needed Applicants must reside within a 75-mile radius to be considered as local candidates Compliance with facility health requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624998.
