Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech)

Compensation : $31 to $45 depending on years of experience

Position Overview

The CT Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. This role includes preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, administering IV / oral contrast, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The technologist uses independent judgment, technical expertise, and compassion to deliver accurate diagnostic images that guide patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Explain CT procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages
  • Position patients appropriately to capture precise diagnostic images
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed
  • Administer intravenous / oral contrast safely according to protocols
  • Assist Radiologists with image-guided procedures, maintaining sterile technique
  • Review patient history, consents, and labs to ensure safe imaging practices
  • Accurately label and document images and pertinent clinical information
  • Move patients safely on / off tables, stretchers, or wheelchairs as needed
  • Provide support for CT services on a 24 / 7 coverage rotation as required

Requirements

  • Associate degree and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin
  • ARRT registered in Radiography (required)
  • ARRT registered in CT (preferred, or required within 1 year of hire)
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Current BLS / CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire)

  • Pay range : $31.50–$48.00 / hour (based on experience)
