Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Job Title : Registered Nurse – ICU Stepdown Location : Sanford, FL Shift : 12-Hour Days or Nights (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM / 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) | Rotating Weekends Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Permanent Responsibilities : Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and monitor for changes requiring intervention. Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to manage the delivery of patient care safely and effectively. Administer and monitor medications, IV therapies, and critical drips in accordance with provider orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and optimize patient care. Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and well-being at all times. Qualifications : Required : Active Florida RN License or approved Compact State RN License. Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care ICU Stepdown RN experience . Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing. BLS certification (AHA or BCLS Instructor) within 30 days of start. NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of start. ACLS certification (AHA) within 6 months of employment start date.
