Position Summary
The Dental Assistant provides technical assistance during dental procedures and examinations according to established protocol and procedures and supports specialists in Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontics or Orthodontists.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Interaction and Care :
Greet, direct, and escort patients, providing routine information about procedures.
Clinical Session Preparation and Assistance :
Review schedules and planned procedures with providers.
Impressions and Imaging :
Take dental impressions, produce study models, and handle lab case logistics.
Record Keeping and Charting :
Chart teeth and conditions in the electronic dental record as directed by the provider.
Maintenance and Supply Management :
Maintain cleanliness and sterility of patient areas and instruments.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of a CODA Accredited Program Certificate
