Overview

We are a small but growing residential architecture firm in Farmersville, TX, dedicated to delivering thoughtful, functional, and beautiful design solutions for our clients. Our company was founded in 2006. Our work spans everything from kitchens and bath remodels to complete new homes. We average 130+ projects annually, with a majority of them being new homes.

Position overview : We are seeking an experienced Remodel Architect to join our team and act as the Project Lead for all Remodel projects. This is an in-office position for someone passionate about residential remodel design and construction, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead residential remodel projects from design through construction.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and budget.
  • Take field measurements, identify any structural concerns, create concepts.
  • Produce and review construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with codes.
  • Work closely with contractors during construction to address field issues and ensure design intent is met.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in residential architecture with a focus on remodels.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing a minimum of 25 remodel projects , ranging from kitchens and baths to full additions.
  • Deep understanding of framing concepts, load-bearing walls, and structural modifications
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC relocations as they relate to remodel design.
  • Understand the difference between crawlspace and slab foundations and the implications to remodels that each create.
  • Strong construction administration experience and ability to solve field challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect or similar).
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
  • Architecture license or AIBD certificate preferred, but not required if experience is substantial.

  • Hours are typically 8am-4 : 30pm at our office in Farmersville, but offer flexible time within 30 mins of normal hours.
