Position Overview :
The Senior Director of Strategic Impact and Engagement reports directly to the SVP of Programs and Events in support of all strategic and special events at Hiring Our Heroes (HOH). The senior director will lead a team responsible for planning and executing special events and engagements, including Community Engagement Events, the Military Spouse Employment Summit, and the HOH Annual Gala.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver events that drive thought leadership, convene stakeholders, and elevate HOH’s role as a trusted voice in workforce development. This includes hosting executive roundtables and forums that foster collaboration across the public and private sectors. The candidate will ensure that events maximize community impact, strengthen partnerships, and generate revenue that sustain and grow HOH’s mission. The candidate will also oversee one direct report and manage a team of four people, including both full‑time staff and dedicated consultants.

The salary range for this position is $107,697.00 to $130,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full‑time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
